Blythe dresses

I've been practising sewing Blythe dresses!

And it's actually quite fun to do! Yesterday

I made my first, and today my second!

The first one was a bit dramatic, I used a

pattern from the internet and didn't really

understand the instructions. I ended up just

doing what I thought was right, but of course I

did it wrong :p. Anyway, this is the result:

See the seam in the middle of the bodice?

It's not supposed to be there ;).

However, today I had a bright moment, the one were

you get a light bulb above your head if you were in

a cartoon :), so the second dress succeeded!

I guess it's a matter of practice, so I'll keep working

on it :)! This is the pattern I used if anyone's interested.

Woodland Swap

I finished my second swap :D!

Today my gift came in the mail, it's

an adorable pouch made by Susan from 8r1id-Bobbeez.

It has about every forest critter I love;

A deer, squirrel, hedgehog, and on the back a

cute little fox! The pouch was filled with

goodies such as a cute piece of bird fabric,

animal applications and lot's more. Thank you Susan :)!

Of course I made a little something too,

a necklace and earrings for Fenny.

My Favorite Cardigan

I love petrol...

I love puffed sleeves...

I love cardigans...

But then my oh so cute kitty *sarcasm*

comes along and makes sure to put his

nails in my favourite petrol cardigan with

puffed sleeves, leaving a giant hole in it!

I was just about ready to throw it in the

garbage when faith gave it a second chance;

the cardigan ended on the bottom of my laundry

basket, and since I rarely see the bottom

of my laundry basket :p it was there for quite

a while. But today I found it again, and my

good mood made me fix it!

The hole was pretty high, so I cut of half

of the cardigan, and re-attached the border

again! While I was at it, I replaced the

original buttons with cute toadstool

buttons! A little birdy application finished

the cardigan in his cuteness, and I think

I possibly like it now more than ever!

The cardigan goes really well with my favourite

dress, the 'King Louie Deer Dress'!

I own too much!

I really do! I have way to much junk!

Actually it isn't junk at all, it's all

pretty, but I'm running out of space!

My bedroom cabinet was truly stuffed with

every little knick knack in the house, so

it was time for a clean out. And even now,

the cabinet is pretty full, but it already

looks a lot better :)

And? Have you spotted my new deer book stands :D?

I love them ^^

So now you know what's the first thing I see when I

wake up; a cabinet full of happy stuff :D!

Today...

The weather is beautiful!

Last week the sun has been shining like crazy,

and I'm not complaining, I love it!

Hubby's parents were out of town, so we

walked their dog 'Geesje'. It was a nice

long stroll.

Look, a cute bum :p

With this pretty weather, of course come pretty

flowers, blooming in all their glory...

First Swap

I got my first swap gift in the mail today!

I totally ADORE it! It's the cutest little

wall ornament with a deer, made by Esther

from 'Essies'.

Blythe update

I have a little Blythe update again.

Jodie is working hard on all her

customs, and once in a while she posts

pictures of her work on Flickr. I was

really happy to see these two pics

of my girl a while a go, so I'm sharing

I went to a housewarming party from cute friends

this weekend. It was nice to see and hug everyone,

we don't see eachother enough in my opinion.

I just can't wait for summer when we plan to have

sunbathing picnics in the park, with doggies and

Thrift finds

Hi everyone :)!

Here are some of my latest thrift finds!

♥ a Kewpie!

I've been wanting a kewpie doll like for ever!

And now I have four! I even found them in their

original packaging :D. I'm keeping one myself and

thinking about selling the other three, so I left

them in their packaging. I also found 3 cute

enamel heart mugs (the kewpie is in one :D).

I fell for the colours. It says

'My ♥ grows and grows' (or is it apple?)...

Perhaps it's an English saying, anyone know?

It has a hole in it for boiled water, that way the

babyfood stays warm :). This goes in to my baby box,

I'm sort of secretly collecting cute stuff i run in to

for when i have a baby (#^.^#)

Little brothers and such...

Yesterday my little brothers and their mom

(not my mom, they are actually half brothers,

but they certainly don't feel that way) went

thrift shopping :D! We had loads of fun!

I didn't make pictures of my sweet finds yet

but i will soon! I did make pictures of

my brothers, i haven't posted much about

them on my blog because i don't want lot's

of pictures of them all over the internet...

but once in a while you just have to see

these cute little faces ;)!

{btw we are not obligated to wear helmets in the backseat in

our country, they just like wearing them :p}

They are now 3 and 4 years old, and I am so

blessed to have them (and their sweet mom for

that matter!!!). They don't live in my hometown

so i don't nearly see them enough :( wich i don't

like, but when i do see them...<3 <3 <3! They actually love thriftshopping and are really helpful with pointing out things we might like, so cute! I got two exiting items in through the mail this week! New 'showboxes' for my handmade rings:

These come in really handy on fairs and such! People

can take a good look at them now :).

And what i also am really stoked about...

I can't wait to make stuff with it!

Just have to figure out what :)...

Moosje and his feather

We have tons of cat toys; mouses, balls you name it

we have it. The silly thing is though...they don't

really like them! Moby likes candy wraps, Frutsel

likes my make-up brushes (she steals them out of

my make-up bag and hides them!!!) and Moosje...

Moosje likes, no, LOVES feathers! Every once in a

while we get a big bush of feathers from Joris's

grandpa, who owns a lot of birds, and he is so

cute to collect the loose feathers! When we get

home with the feathers Moos immediately dives in

to my bag to take one! The rest goes to a secret

hiding place till the one he has is completely

destroyed and half eaten (＾▽＾)!

*Give me give me give me!*

Joris and I love playing with Moos and his feather,

he does all these crazy jumps and starts to meow

like crazy when we hold on to his feather for even

a second too long!

*Purrrrr I luuuuuve my feather*

Unfortunately the little guy is so darn fast, I

always get some scratches during our play time!

But it's worth it to see him so happy ;)!

*Ouch*

Yes, cats are the best :)!They do a lot of

silly stuff and are sometimes really naughty!

Like frutsel chewing on everything from expensive

headphone wires to the window blinds!

But I couldn't live without them... my babies.

Joris is also crazy about them, and he better be :p!

Mothersday ♥

Today was Mothersday and I spend the day at my

mom's place. She also had her birthday party

this weekend so we gave her lots of presents

including a tattoo, something she has really wanted

for a while now. A fleur des lis on her shoulder :)!

It was a great weekend and I really enjoyed myself,

especially looking at old pictures of my mom.

I scanned some and made a digital scrap page with

them! It has been a while since I scrapped :)!

Today I was in the countryside, constantly

this addiction seeing as I can't buy them.

Blogging about them is the closest I get to

owning them ;)!

1. True Mary Jane's! I actually own a pair of these

but these are the only ones i promise :).

2. Arthur Daily! I can't think of any outfit I would

wear them under, but I just like the style!

3. Benny four eyes! *Totally wouldn't be able to walk

on these* but sooo cute!

4. Aprils Flower! Pink! Pink! Oh, Pink!

5. American Vulc! I'm not a big fan of sport shoes,

but if I had to pick a pair, it would totally be these

bubblegum adidas cuties!

6. Beauty and the Beast! Aren't they completely wrong?

I think that's why I like them :)

7. Pump it up! These are from Killdoll, and I always like

Killdoll!

8. Gnome Knot! I love this colour mix, so vintage!

9. Strawberry welly! Cute for festivals!

10. Aaliyahs heart! I only like these because of the

big shiny heart on the nose and the fact that a top 9

sounds lame :p
