{ Week-end with Mom ♥ }

The last few days I was with my mom in Drenthe.

Her relationship recently ended, and she could

use a little distraction.

I went there by train, 2,5 hours of travelling

and changing trains 3 times :( yuck! But seeing

my mommy again made everything right.

And of course seeing my beloved Morus again,

the cat that was once mine. He lives with my

mom now so she can enjoy his company and he

isn't bothered by my young busy kitties at his

old age. Also, her house is bigger and he can

go outside whenever he pleases because she

installed a cat flap in her door. Actually

it's more like a door because Morus is so big,

she had to buy a dog sized flap :D! Just look

at the size of his paw :)!

Saturday we went to 't goed', a thriftshop.

I scored amazing goodies, like a huge crocheted

blanket I adore, and all kinds of flowery plates.

I haven't taken pictures of it yet, so here's a

picture of lil' ol' me instead :).

I'm wearing my new cardigan and made a headband

to go with it.

Sunday we went to a little french flea market in

'Eexterveen'. They had sheds filled with beautiful

antique sacred Maria figurines and chandeliers.

The only drawback was that everything was soooo

expensive, so I had no choice but buying nothing,

while I sure wanted to:

All in all I really enjoyed our weekend together,

I wish I could see mom more often, but it's just

the way it is for now.

Siepie

This adorable girl named 'Siepie' is from my friends

Maarie and Evert. I went over there yesterday together

with Ghislaine to cuddle with Siepie and of course Maarie :)!

Seeing how the pictures turned out makes me so extremely

happy with my awesome camera <3!

I had the most lovely day with Maarie and Ghislaine,

friends are so important!

Doodley Doo - Where are you?

Ooops.

I'm so behind on my doodles :(

I don't know how that happened...

I lost motivation and inspiration and

the further behind I get the harder it

is to start again. This sucks.

I promise I won't give up I'll keep trying.

My head is buzzy redecorating the livingroom!

There is one wall that needs to be stripped of

old ugly wallpaper and painted again. And I have

a little wooden wall that I want to paint turquoise :)!

I'm looking for a cute carpet to put in front of the

couch and two cute footstools/tables to put on it.

I'm sewing retro curtains, tablecloths and pillowcases

and ordered several vintage pieces of wallpaper to

put together above the couch.

I'm so curious about how it will turn out :D!

Stats Sunday

Time for stats sunday :)!

I made my first yarn wreath :D!

I finished it this week and it's now above

our bed! I'm really happy with the result:

This week I went thrifting with my friend Arris

and I found lot's of cute things. Like this little

table and fa-bu-lous teapot!

The table really needs some work still...

It has all sorts of strange glue spots :( but

I couldn't resist the cute colours!

Three...

I have a new addiction; Glee!

This tv show is one big musical filled with beautiful voices!

Seriously, I can't stop singing! This week I watched

the entire first season and the new episodes start

this september, can't wait!

And last;

I have a new project!

Redecorating our living room!

I have many exiting things planned out starting

Scrap Saturday

This big obsession is keeping my mind busy lately!

All I see is dogs, all I talk is dogs. I blame Robin

who took his cute dogs with us on vacation and made

me addicted! I LOVE my boyfriend for saying the yes

word regarding my dog obsession but at the same time

it kills me because if I really think it through...

if I'm really realistic about it...

It isn't such a great idea. Why not you ask me?

Well, our house is three high and quite tiny.

And already filled up with three messy kitties who I

adore so so very much and they would not like a dog

around I am sure of that! So all I can do really is

dream about a bigger house one day...

A bigger house with a yard...

A yard with a cute playful doggie in it...

My promise to my kitties <3, not now but in a few years.

And till then I'll keep on dreaming.

10 days of joy

Hey Everyone!

I'm back! I had the most lovely 10 days with my closest

friends in a huge villa. And when I say villa I mean VILLA!

Can you believe this was my house for the past 10 days? I wish I could ship it to my current

home town ;)!

A group of 22, some of my closest friends, some newbies who I adored and of course two precious doggies!

This was the 4th year in this house and I've been having the same bedroom for 3 years.

It has calming blue walls and I feel very at home there. Especially when I bring some

deer to cosy up the room ;).

The deer also requested a special

photo shoot in the garden :p.

On the first day we discovered a pretty caterpillar in the garden. I really enjoyed taking pictures

of it :)! It's a common creature who will eventually grow into a moth. But his colours are breathtaking.

I've been back home for one day now and I'm already having trouble remembering what

I did those 10 days :(! I visited the village 'Spa' a lot to take pictures and shop for cute

goodies. I ate French macarons for the first time in my life (yum, they were good!) and my friends

and I went to the 'Thermen' to swim and sit in the sauna :).

I bought two cute dresses (one with kitties on it!) and I found the most precious deer figurine at an

antiques market, the woman selling it to me spoke French so I couldn't understand a word she was saying

(dropped French in 2nd grade). My friend heard her say something like 'tres vieux' which means really old.

When she wrote down the year 1920(!) I almost couldn't believe it!

Some of us went to the forest to enjoy the pretty nature. I loved it! We picked raspberries and they

were delicious :)!

I also posed on a rock in a river,while my friend Ghislaine took pictures.

We visited nearby towns, barbecued, laughed, played games, made music together, drunk till

we were silly, discovered new friendships and lots more.

And now I'm home and there's this empty feeling, missing the 21 friends I spend my days with and 

learned to love even more than I already did :(.

I also miss this silly little creature:

Her name is Alice and when her 'daddy' wasn't around she chose me to follow around all day. 

I grew really fond of her and she softened my sadness from missing the kitties.

 My hubby saw how I was with her and we talked about having our own dog one day. 

I can't wait :)! But first, little Alice's boss promised that she can stay with us for a short amount of 

time to see if we are up for life with a doggie, and our kitties for that matter ;).

I want to share one last picture of a friend named Chris, because I think it turned out really pretty

and I am thrilled about 'catching' him in such a sweet smile!

And I want to thank all my friends for these precious 10 days we had together!

Stats - Scraps 'n Doodle!

Hiya!

Here it is, my last post before going on vacation!

The last couple of days I've been cleaning the house

and writing endless instructions for the kitty-sitter.

I really don't like leaving my kitties for 10 days :(

it makes me sad. But I know I'm going to have good

times in BELGIUM! Every year we go to a big villa in

Belgium with a big group of friends. All of my closest

friends are in this group and I love having them a couple

of doors next to me in the Villa! This year we are leaving

with 22 peeps! Every year there are some newbies in the

group and sometimes they stay with us forever :p.

So here is my scrap for this week :)!

I really hope I'll be able to use internet in the Villa...

Last year we had a really crappy connection :(.

So there is a possibility that this blog remains empty

for 10 days! But when I'm back I'll make it up to you

guys, pinky promise :)!

I have one last doodle for you this month! It's July's

last topic; 'hats'! But since I missed the first topic

'friendship', I combined the two of them :)!

Chelsea Ann from Ittybittybirdy asked me to come up with

the topics for August! Isn't that neat? So I'll keep doodling

while I'm in the villa, I just don't know yet if I'll be

able to show you guys! I will try to keep you up to date via

photo's on Flickr, is that an idea? So if your curious,

check in there now and than ;).

Today I'm going to clean some more and of course pack

my bags! This will be tough 'cause I sorta want to

take my entire closet with me, yet only so much can

fit in to my suitcase :(. Ah, a well known woman problem

I guess, right :D?
