Music Monday : Paloma Faith

On facebook, I've been doing a '30 day song
challenge' following this schedule.

It's very fun, and when I'm done I think I'll
post all the songs here. But I also want to
post one today because it's so fun.
It's the song from day 15,
a song that describes me:

It took me some time to come up with
it but I found some of the lines and her
quirky style fitting for me :).

January Movies

Some nice movies I've seen this month:

A Dutch movie with a lot of...love :)
and the most lovely music!

From the lovely Sofia Coppola
and with the cute Elle Fanning.

Absolutely loved this movie ♡

And also:

The Switch - Funny
Flipped - very sweet
Leap year - loved it {again}
Becoming Jane - James McAvoy ♡
 Mean girls 2 - okay if you're bored :)
Going the distance - Not worth watching...

Quartet

This week I met a woman on 'Marktplaats' {sort of a Dutch version of Ebay} who sold hundreds of quartet games. I found a couple of lovely ones and bought them from her. She told me she had a lot of more boxes filled with them and asked me if I was looking for  something in particular. I told her I loved the 'old ones' with pretty vintage illustrations. She was so sweet and helpful and looked through all of the boxes and took pictures of the ones she thought I might like. And there were a lot I liked :)! I get so inspired by the lovely illustrations! Look:

3 Red Riding Hood's from different games :)

Adorable animals! Look at the squirrel, love!

So I guess I have another obsession :p, and you know what to do with old games you don't want any more ;).

Cute shop : Froufrou's

A while ago, I found this shop and fell in love
with their items. Unfortunately I forgot about
it only to recently rediscover it.

And now, most things in my size are pretty
much sold already :(. If you have a small size in
clothing and shoes, you still might get lucky :)!
And of course there is always the jewellery...

Make sure to check the sale page for lovely prices!
I'm going to keep a close eye on this shop, this is
vintage the way I love it :)!

Collections part one

Something I take great joy in, is collecting stuff.
My boyfriend is almost going crazy about my hoarding
behaviour, stuffing our house full with useless junk,
but it just makes me feel so good! I think part of it
comes from being at home a lot and having to much
time for these kind of addictions, because that's almost
what they are. I'm working on being less at home and
hopefully my hoarding addiction gets a little more in the
background in the future. But for now, let's enjoy it
while I still can, teehee! I'm currently in a book phase,
mostly interior books, but I also love craft books and
old children's books with pretty vintage illustrations.
I recently bought a load of old 'pixi' books, I think
they are named 'Junior elf' books in English. I'm
still waiting for them to come in, and I can't wait
to see what beauty they hold inside of them!
I'm thinking of featuring one of my collections
every week, wouldn't that be fun? I would love
to see your collections ;)!

Send a Smile

I've been having a lot of fun designing postcards!
It's sort of addicting. I wish I had a graphic design
or photography education so I could make even prettier
cards. I used my vintage figurines as theme for the cards.
If you'd like to send one of these or one of my other
designs to a special someone, go to my card shop.
Prices vary from €1,39 to €5,49 {without stamp}
and if you order before 16.00pm, the card will be
shipped the next day :)! Meanwhile I'll keep working
on new designs, it's so much fun!

In my bag

I got inspired by Planet Fur and decided
to show you what's in my bag {most of the time}!

My wallet of course, I never forget. Though there's hardly any cash in it to spend {today I didn't even have a penny for a shoppingcart at the supermarket, so I had to drag everything with me in a small basket :p}. My wallet is from Huisteilcreaties, as is my bag, I love this brand! Next to my wallet is my Jelly Pong Pong lip orchid. A lovely beauty label, not tested on animals! The lip orchid is really bright pink and gives me some extra flair while doing every day chores as groceries ;). Most of the time, I carry a notebook to write down ideas or important stuff. This one is from Liefgoed and completely filled with paper saved from the trash can. The pen is from my all time favourite store the Hema! I really have a notebook addiction by the way... The little creature on the right takes care of my phone. It's from Noi-home, a lovely Danish brand {but what Danish brand isn't lovely, it's all brilliant!}. And last but not least; business cards, I forget them most of the time, but I really like to hand them out whenever I can :)! Well, I'm going to cook now, this blogging made me hungry. Have a lovely evening!

'More sense than money' by Dear Colleen

I hate money :(, It just always brings trouble
with it! I agree that money can't make you
happy in the end, but sometimes it would just
be really convenient. And I know I may
not complain because I have a roof above my
head and can cook a nice meal every evening.
But I just can't seem to handle money, you know?
I can't save, I can't own a creditcard because
than I spend too much and I have a study-debt
that's freaking me out a little...
On top of that I wish a certain family member
would win the lottery or something because I'm
terribly worried about his/her finances :(..

I'm sorry, just ignore me, it's one of those days...

I'm so incredibly in love with this shop!

When I have money I need to buy a clock
from this shop! I think the cardboard cuckoo
is my fave :).

opening our eyes to interior decoration details we
don't normally reflect on.'

I fell in love with the homes and photography in
Detaljer Hemma. This book is AMAZING!
And you can win it, here! Everyone can enter
from all over the world and all you have to do
is leave me a sweet comment on this post.
If you want you can follow me as well, I always
love more followers ;). And don't forget to put

A little bit of sun

I love it when the sun comes peeking through
the window, this is always the best moment
to take pretty pictures! A couple of days
ago I bought a new blanket from 'Kruidvat'.
I like to wrap myself in something warm when
chilling on the couch and this one looks so
cheerful. Of course Moos already stole it
from me! I am so ready for spring and
summer by the way. I won't miss these dark
and rainy days! Cheerful news; my Detaljer
Hemma book came in the mail today!
You know what? It really was worth waiting
for. And you know what else? I'll be giving one
copy of the book away this week. Keep checking in ;)!

Movie Monday: Om nom nom

While we are in the kitty theme,
isn't this awfully cute?

Weekly Quote

My kitty Frutsel woke me up today, by scratching
the door. She keeps on scratching till I come
out and give her breakfast. Before I had Frutsel,
the other kitties never scratched the bedroom door,
but since they noticed that if they just keep doing
it long enough, I eventually give in. Annoyed as hell.

I really am a cat person though, just the other
day I was out with my friends. I stepped outside
the noisy bar to make a phone call when a cute
kitty came up to me. She was soaked from the
rain and I immediately started patting her.
Kneeling beside her, she jumped on my lap and
made herself comfortable. When it was time to
go inside, she followed me, but the bar noises
scared her off. Hours later when my friends and
I left, she was still there! I petted her and again
she jumped on my lap! She even jumped on the back
of my bike, as if saying; take me with you! And boy
I wanted to, but she had a collar and surely
belonged to someone. When it really was time
to leave, my friend Lies had to scare her off
because she was seriously following me through
the streets! I wonder if she's okay and has a
sweet owner, I sure hope so...
This wasn't the first time something like this
happened, I've had kitties following me before.
Secretly I wish for a really big house with my
own kitty shelter in the future...

Tutorial Tuesday

A lot of cute patterns and tutorials
are available on Freubelweb.
It's Dutch, but has al lot of inspiration
and pretty pictures :)!

Address Book

I finally bought an address book
people's addresses written on notes
spread throughout the house
not able to find them
always having to ask

I was scanning the stores for a while
lately in search for that special one
Today I spotted 'the one'
In the post office nevertheless

It's a really cute one designed by Marenthe
for Flow Magazine. You should take a
look at her work, it's amazing :)!

This is the cover of the address book.
It's pretty ♡

I love to read, because I can relate to her style
and both she, I and Laura Veirs like deer :)!

Vintage Finds

Here are some pictures of vintage finds I thrifted
long ago, but never really took decent pictures of.
I painted the green owl myself to give him a little
more flair :)! I have tons of items left to photograph
but I'm struggling with light, the days are a bit dark
lately :(... I'm gonna give it another try tomorrow though.
Have a great weekend!

Nightlight

I have a new light on my nightstand :)!
My boyfriend Joris never had a light on his side of the
bed and the bunny I first had never gave enough
light to read {wich I like to do before I go to sleep,
I'm a little jealous of Joris who's head only
has to touch the pillow and he's practically gone}
ofcourse I could put a brighter light in the bunny,
but isn't it a way better excuse to buy a whole new
lamp :)? I found the pretty deer lamp at 'Gepimpeld'
and I thought is was so cute! It came in the mail
today, but the conductor/cable was black and way to
short, so sweet Joris, who teaches physics at
a high school which comes in really handy in situations
like these, made a new one and now it's brightly
shining on my nightstand, hurray!
