Lomo Saturday

Kitties

I have no idea why the last picture turned out green,
one of the many Lomo surprises I guess :).

I'm currently in my 5th film already, it's just so much fun
to do! Though I get weird reactions sometimes when I'm walking
around with my Diana Mini. Some people seem to think it's just
a toy or accessory and are super surprised when I tell them
it's the real deal.

A little Nikki

A while ago I was cleaning out some cabinets when I came
across this picture, a picture of little me! There was no date
on the picture, but my best guess is that I'm 10 years old here.

It took me back to my 10 year old self and what I loved in this
period. I remember I wanted to be very grown up and I liked
glittery things, like the beret and earrings. We had a little
nest of 5 kittens and all of them slept on my bed every night,
something I took great pleasure in. The tiny pitch black kitten
in the picture was my favorite :)...

Dress Up #3

I've been wanting to wear this dress since the minute it got in,
but then it was way too cold. And now, the heat! I could've
easily worn it without tights but I was too chicken ;)

I found this pin in a thrift shop, though I do not really think men are
simple, I still thought it was funny :D.

Tights: Hema
Necklace: Hema
Pin: Thrifted
Shoes: Papillio

Next time I wear this dress I'm hoping to combine it
with the Swedish Hasbeens I ordered at H&M!

I hope you guys weren't to sad about yesterday's giveaway
only being for Dutchies? Did you read the 'Edit' :)?

Lomo Saturday

Pictures from Sunday two weeks ago, we went to a concert of
Joris's dad.  It was in Sliedrecht so we went by train. We took
a couple of pictures outside the building. In the first picture you
see Joris and his sweet mom, and in the second me and Joris's
sister Liesbeth, and her half boyfriend who didn't make the picture,
oops :), but you can see him in picture 4 and 5.

This, That, Teapot!

The teapot I've been craving came in the mail today :D!
Look, so pretty!

It's from &Klevering, a store where I would buy everything if I had
the money :)!

This week, I crawled behind my sewing machine a couple of times
again, I hadn't sewn in so long that I almost forgot how to!
I think this is because my craft room in the basement is one
gigantic mess, and I need to overcome several obstacles to get
to my sewing machine. I so wish we had an extra room in
our tiny apartment. I could get all the essentials up in there
and leave all the junk in the basement.

But... promises to friends had to be kept, birthday presents had
to be made and I wanted to make something with a cute
deer fabric I ordered a while ago at spoonflower:

I also want to show you an adorable bunny I received
from a Swap:

It was made by Sascha.
The kitties are completely in love with it, they keep
licking and hugging the bunny :D.

My big little brother ( big because he's taller than me and little because he's
younger than me :p) is coming over for dinner tonight, haven't seen
him in a while so looking forward to it!

Next week I'm starting a IBS diet.
I'm not allowed to eat anything with starch, cereals, milk
products (no lactose), sugar, and legume.
So no bread, potatoes, rice, cookies, and chocolate milk
anymore for 6 weeks! I am allowed to eat a lot of fruit,
vegetables, egg and meat (but I hardly eat any meat) so there's
not much left ;)! This also means I won't be baking rainbow
cakes or cookies for a while...

Hope you have a great start of the weekend!

Deer girl

I took some new pictures of her so I thought I'd show them :).
This Blythe girl was once an ADG Aztec Arrival but Jodiedolls
customized her for me. Some say she looks scary but I think
she's the cutest

Officially she isn't finished yet because she doesn't have
a scalp and she is now wearing a wig. It would be
amazing if she could one day get a pretty scalp with
a mohair re-root!

This week I sold my other Blythe doll Madelief, you know
recession and stuff ;). I have a weakness for ADG Blythes
so hopefully there are more to come in the future.

Did you already know Blythe? What do you think of her :)?

Children's Books

Last Saturday I was at a secondhand book market with
friends and I found these adorable children's books:

The illustrations are to die for so cute!
I wonder how old they are, they don't have a date written in them...
Any idea?

I also found all adventures of Pippi Longstocking
and an adorable embroidery book.
Great score, I'm attending book markets more often :).

Luckily my book addicted friend Lies, who's house practically exists out
of bookcases packed with books, always knows when and where
a book market is taking place ;).

What are your favorite kind of books?

Dress Up #2

So, not a dress this time :)!
I was a little hesitant about this at first though,
I think it makes me look a little square.

But it's still a cute outfit. I didn't even remember I had this
little overall till a couple of weeks ago when I was searching
for an outfit to wear to laser gaming. I thought it was a
little weird to do that in a skirt or dress and I hardly
have any pants so I wore this :D (well with a black
tee, black tights and red lipstick to make me
look a little bad ass, not that I looked bad ass, perhaps
I shouldn't have put my hair in pigtails, but hey I tried!)

This time I gave a little romantic touch to it.

Shirt: H&M (I love the little lace sleeves, you can see a little bit
of my tattoo through it)
Tights: H&M
Overall: H&M (I buy a lot at this store :p)
Earrings: Swap gift
Necklace: Asos
Butterfly pin: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted
~

I have to go now, I'm having my first yoga class in an hour :)!

Getting old?

Yesterday I went 'out' with friends, something I haven't done
since... ages I guess.

We went to the finale of Rockslag, a local competition
for talented bands. It was fun, but while I was there
I sort of started realizing that it isn't really my scene.
You can barely talk to each other because the music is
too loud. And there are a lot of really drunk people who
{if you always smile friendly, like I do} bother you with
asking you silly questions and coming waaaaay to close
in the process.

I'm not much of a dancer either, though I used to really
like that! There was a time I went dancing every weekend!
I wonder what changed... Am I getting... old? Or does it
has something to do with no more medication?

I'd much rather go to a cozy bar where you can sit,
talk and actually understand each other, spend a little
quality time :). Or maybe even better;
have cozy dinners at each others homes.

I know it sounds really silly but I'm sort of looking forward
to the period we all have kids and settle down a little.
Oh man I really am getting old :(.

Enough of this, aren't you just loving the spring weather?
We're going to have this years first barbecue today :D!

Frutsel enjoys the weather too:

Bye bye flowers, hello Frutsel!

Oh, and before I forget, there's something I wanted to
ask you! I don't know if you are familiar with ibs
(Irritable bowel syndrome, in Dutch prikkelbare darmen)
but I'm having a lot of issues with this lately, so I was
wondering if anyone knows what's best to eat?
The internet says really opposite things, so maybe there is
someone who has experience with it?

Lomo Saturday

So...
Apparently I also photograph a lot of trees... :)
Whenever there isn't an interesting object to shoot,
I settle for trees, because trees are gorgeous.

Collections part three

Painting by my Grandfather

Hi everyone,
Here's another addiction of mine :), vintage flowery china!
Teapots, cups, plates and a couple of bowls is what I own
now and every time I find something during thrift shopping the
collection grows because I just can't leave anything behind :).

I just  the old English high tea look, though the cups have never
even been used for tea since I own them, I'm so afraid my
clumsy self or the kitties break them.

And I just happen to have a thing for flowers, you see them
everywhere in the house in different styles.

As a bonus a couple of deer teaspoons, but I haven't thrifted enough
of those yet to call them a collection, maybe some day ;).
