Utrecht
Last week I went shopping in Utrecht with my friend Lucia. She knows Utrecht a lot better than I, being in school there and having lived there. She led me straight to the cutest vintage stores where I found the cute vintage dress in the picture above at sussies (I only just found out they have an online shop too :D). I hope I still get a chance to wear it, though the weather hasn't looked so promising for the past couple of weeks. But I'll make sure to 'Dress Up' in it some time :).
Halfway we sat down for some yummy tea, hot chocolate and sandwiches. I didn't bring my Nikon to Utrecht because sometimes I don't feel like dragging the huge device with me all the time (always regretting it later on though). I did bring my Diana and Vistaquest, resulting in above pictures :).
I don't like summer being almost over, but secretly long for fall too. In preparation of fall I decided to focus on buying some cute cardigans as well, and mission accomplished :)! My favorite is the one in the middle, it's vintage from Episode. It's so toasty warm, actually a bit too warm for this weather, but I can't wait to wear it!
My new favorite music, Eefje de Visser! Maartje wrote about her and after listening one song I was smitten. I went searching for her cd in Utrecht and found it, yay! I only have a cd player in the kitchen, so whenever I'm cooking or cleaning Eefje's wonderful voice accompanies me.
Though I'm completely broke now, I had a lovely day :)!

Miss Elsa

Lomo Saturday
Today little Moos is celebrating his 4th birthday :)! Moos is the only one of our kitties we know the exact birth date from, the lady we got Moos from was with him when he was born. He was the littlest and weakest of the nest and when we took him in he was very ill. After a couple of vet visits and some medicine Moos soon became his silly playful self. Moosje is the only guy in our cat family and sometimes has to show the ladies how tough and handsome he is by parading through the house taking big steps like he owns the place. But really, even the smallest sounds get him to jump in the air like the true scaredy-cat he is ;)!

New addition to the Flower Family
I couldn't resist this teapot from Ninainvorm. I've always wanted to buy some of her ceramics but was waiting for the right moment and this one really spoke to me. It's so pretty don't you think?
Aside from ceramics Nina also sells beautiful prints in her shop, and has a lovely blog! Thank you Nina :)! Unfortunately I did somehow make a promise to Joris that when I buy something, another thing has to go. But it does keep our house from getting too loaded, so I'm selling this teapot. The new design
Hi everyone, surprise :)! You might have noticed that the liefgeval blog was 'out' today. Well I was uploading the new design and here it is! It's really different from my past designs right :)? Wait, here's a little reminder:
The idea behind my new design is pretty much less is more. Or lesser than my past designs anyways. I like to think it's also a bit more grown up. The baby deer have grown up to be sturdy stags and the color explosions made place for soft pastels. I spotted illustrated portraits on a couple of blogs (tfd/hcts) and liked it so much I asked my mom to whip one up for me too. And so she did, thanks mom :)!
To be honest I'm not sure it's finished yet, but I just wanted to be live again really bad and hear what you guys think of it so far. I'm pretty sure I still have to discover tons of flaws, and I'll probably keep adjusting ;).

Lomo Saturday
I'm cheating just a tiny bit today, because I haven't got any fresh Lomo's yet. These pictures were taken with my Vistaquest 1015, only a little cheat because they do call this little camera a digital Lomo for a reason ;). I think the VQ resembles the Holga with it's black corners. I photographed the kitties of course, there just couldn't be a better subject. Also a deer on the wall, flower prints from my pillows and a plate with a little golden books illustration (I bought the plate for when my little brothers come over but secretly I like it just as much) on the plate are some crumbs from my lunch :).

Pretty Kitties
Remember the newlyweds? They have babies now ;). Yesterday I went for dinner at my friends Lucia and Machiel's home and they just picked up two kittens from the shelter that day. They were sooo cute *swoon*!
A handsome little black guy and a beautiful multicolored lady.
They don't have names yet, I'm very curious at what they are going to come up with!
I had a hard time leaving again, I could have cuddled them all night :).
So photogenic! Gorgeous girl! Being home again my kitties suddenly looked very grown up, but they're still my little ones too. I couldn't be more happy with them. In fact, I don't understand how anyone could live without cats :).
