The Telephone

Only a couple more days till May. April flew by, with lots of rain but also a lot of sunny moments. Here is some of April captured with my phone.

Deciding on the new living room colors and making collages for inspiration.

Enjoying fresh flowers in bloom.

Cleaning up our little bedroom balcony and planting wild flower seeds.

Our little Moos had a vet visit. He had a tooth infection in his mouth, poor little thing. It smelled awful and the tooth had to be taken out. He was so ill from the drugs after, so sad. I have no idea how the infection got there, but luckily it's gone now and Moos feels better than ever (and he smells a lot more pleasant too ;)).

Lamp Shade

I hung the lampshade on the lonely light bulb.

They are very happy together, as am I :)

I covered the frame with vintage fabric and some birds I had lying around. The idea was brought upon me by Folly&Glee.

I took a photo of this cute geese couple a while back. When I drove past them this afternoon I saw they expanded their little family with six adorable fluffy baby geese :).

Wonderful

Some pretty things that have caught my eye lately:

I'm in love with these dresses from the clothing brand Louche, I can't wait to get my hands on one. My favorite dress is the left one, Dorothy, but they have many other pretty dresses as well.

Layla Amber's woodland collection is so pretty, I can't decide which animal is the cutest (just kidding it's the deer) ;).

As a big Nathalie Lete fan I love all of her work, like these beautiful plates for Anthropologie. If you are curious about her, definitely check out this video of her painting the Anthropologie store windows, I wish she would paint mine...

Another lovely dress! The color as well as the collar couldn't be more perfect :).

And for the finale, I asked artist Anne Siems if I could portray some of her work on my blog, I found it while browsing the web and it was such a pleasant surprise!

I adore her whimsical style.You must take a look at her other work, it's gorgeous I promise!

Lomo Saturday

A cat on the sidewalk in front of our house. I wonder who he belongs to. He (or she) looks very old. Whenever I see cats outside I wonder if they are happy, healthy and being taken care of. Unfortunately there's not much I can do about it except petting them and giving them treats. It does worry me sometimes...

New thrift finds

In March I visited a couple of flea markets and thrift stores. I found many wonderful things and with them I completed my little crochet/knitting corner. I already had the comfy chair, but I still needed a basket for my wool, a cozy pillow (my favorite find!) and a cute little foot stool.

Here's a little peek in my headquarters, I recently finished making the lamp shade for the lonely light bulb. Can't wait to hang it! The shelves are also new and on the storage closet on the right I hung an old botanical school poster 'Our Forest' from vonliving, it was love at first sight.
